The 'Transformers' actor urges people to join him on a charity run in California to raise money for the Japan relief appeal.

AceShowbiz - Actor Josh Duhamel is urging his fans to join him on a charity run in California on Sunday, March 27, to raise money for the Japan relief appeal. The "Transformers" star was shocked to see the scenes of devastation in the country following a 9.0-magnitude earthquake and tsunami earlier in March and he's determined to help survivors of the disaster.

He's organized the Relief Run along Santa Monica beach and he's calling on locals to join him on the two-mile (3.2 kilometres) sprint to raise money for the American Red Cross' Japan Earthquake and Pacific Tsunami fund.

"If you're like me, you've seen the pain and suffering going on in Japan right now, and really feel the need to help, to physically help, to actually DO SOMETHING. Well, we can!" Duhamel writes in a post on his website."

Entrants are asked to pay $10 to take part in the race. The actor organized a similar run to raise funds for Haiti following the earthquake in the country in 2010.
