The Art Howe of 'Moneyball' will allegedly supervise a TV hit and is developing a new series for U.S. network HBO.

AceShowbiz - Philip Seymour Hoffman is hoping to oversee a TV hit, the Oscar winner is developing a new series for U.S. network HBO. The "Capote" star is helming "Upstate", which will tell the story of Roy Perkins, who relocates his family to rural America to become a correctional prison officer after he is made redundant.
The actor will be executive producer on the show, which is made through his company, Cooper's Town Productions.
Hoffman is not slated to appear in the drama, which is set to hit the small screen in the U.S. later in 2011.
Deadline Online reported he started working for HBO in 2005, playing in "Empire Falls", which earned him an Emmy nomination. In 2010, he set up his first TV project at the studio about a drama based on Samantha Peale's novel "The American Painter Emma Dial".
