'This is a show that, it's on you to keep it going. And I didn't think they surfed as much as they could have,' unimpressed Goldberg revealed about the Oscar hosts during 'The View' on Monday.

AceShowbiz - Four-time Oscars host Whoopi Goldberg was not impressed with James Franco and Anne Hathaway's presentation of this year's Academy Awards - because they seemed to be out of place.
The movie stars became the first male and female co-hosts to hit the stage together at the Oscars on Sunday, February 27, but their efforts failed to win over Goldberg.
Speaking out about the prize giving during her magazine show "The View" on Monday, February 28, "The Color Purple" star said, "You've got to get people who understand a live show. The first few minutes of that show is yours. I understand what they (Oscars producers) were trying to do... and I like James Franco a lot. I like Anne Hathaway a lot. But this is a show that, it's on you to keep it going. It's on you. You have to be able to surf in this show. And I didn't think they surfed as much as they could have."
And Goldberg feels the co-hosts missed a huge opportunity to take control of the show after Best Supporting Actress Melissa Leo became the first winner to use the 'F' word in her acceptance speech.
Goldberg adds, "You have to recognize... when things happen like that, you have to be able to come and lift the audience out of their shock and move the show forward. I felt like last night there was no one in charge."
