AceShowbiz - Oscar-winner Helen Mirren fears she'll go to her grave remembered as a hard-as-nails police woman or a royal. The British actress is proud of her Shakespearean roots and her varied TV, film and stage roles - but she's convinced she'll never escape the roles of Jane Tennison in the "Prime Suspect" TV series and her Academy Award-winning turn in "The Queen".
She tells Bust magazine, "There are certain roles that take over your life, 'Prime Suspect' was one of them. The reason I stopped doing 'Prime Suspect' is because I was beginning to feel like if I was knocked over by a bus, people would say, 'Tennison sadly died yesterday. She was knocked over by a bus.' "
"So I had to reclaim myself and capability to do other things... and then 'The Queen' came along (and) now I'm 'the queen' - regal this, regal that. It's rubbish."
