AceShowbiz - Movie bosses at Sony are playing down reports that filming on the Hollywood remake of "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2011)" has been halted following an injury to star Rooney Mara. Swedish reports on Wednesday, September 22 suggested the actress was "severely injured" on the set of the film, and publication Nojes Bladet claimed she had suffered a debilitating shoulder injury and the Scandinavian shoot had been postponed.
But Sony bosses have dismissed the story, stating "Production has not shut down. She is fine." And Mara's representative has backed up the claim, telling Us Magazine, "The report out of Sweden is completely false. Rooney is perfectly healthy."
Rooney is portraying the role of computer hacker Lisbeth Salander in the latest adaptation of Stieg Larsson's "Millennium Trilogy" movie. Noomi Rapace played the part in the original Swedish film.
