AceShowbiz - Christmas has come really early for Mariah Carey - she has announced plans to record a festive album for the 2010 holidays. Carey's "Merry Christmas" became one of the world's best-selling Yuletide albums of all time after it was released in 1994, and now the singer has plans to follow-up the compilation with a new set of holiday classics.
The album, which is scheduled for an early November release, will also feature six new songs and a new mix of her hit "All I Want for Christmas Is You".
Mariah Carey is currently in Brazil for a concert this week. The singer shared her excitement performing in the country on her blog, writing "Ola! Just landed in Brazil! writing lyrics in the car on the way to the hotel w /a few nice big lenses + cars cutting us. Off to bed affap when I get to the hotel! Can't wait to see the fans @ the show after I get a morsel and some sleep! Love you Brazil!"
