The superproducer has roped in top talent Scissor Sisters and Cathy Dennis for his next album and promised not to record any cover.

AceShowbiz - Superproducer Mark Ronson is working with the Scissor Sisters and acclaimed songwriter Cathy Dennis on his next album - and has promised not to record any covers. The musician made his name as one of the industry's most sought after collaborators following the release of his 2007 smash hit "Version", which featured rejuvenated updates of classic hits.

Ronson went on to enjoy huge success from working with Amy Winehouse as producer on her mega-selling album "Back to Black". And following the popularity of the pair's cover of The Zutons song "Valerie", Ronson has even roped in the band's frontman Dave McCabe to help pen some new tracks.

Ronson tells NME.com, "There's no covers, and no horns. It's written with some of the people that actually wrote the songs I covered on the last album and that I didn't actually even know at the time. It's quite interesting to write songs from scratch with those people, like Dave (McCabe of The Zutons) who wrote 'Valerie'."

Ronson is also penning original tracks with the Scissor Sisters, as well as former pop star Dennis, who co-wrote hit singles including Kylie Minogue's "Can't Get You Out Of My Head" and Katy Perry's "I Kissed A Girl".
