AceShowbiz - Verity, the psychological thriller starring Anne Hathaway, Dakota Johnson and Josh Hartnett, will be released on 4K Ultra HD (Amazon Exclusive), Blu-ray and DVD on December 15, Amazon MGM Studios and Alliance Home Entertainment announced.
The home video release comes after the film's theatrical debut in early October. Verity has grossed over $145 million at the worldwide box office. The film is based on Colleen Hoover's New York Times bestselling novel of the same name, adapted for the screen by Nick Antosca and directed by Michael Showalter.
In the film, Lowen Ashleigh, a struggling writer, relocates to the remote estate of renowned author Verity Crawford to ghostwrite her next novel. When she uncovers what appears to be Verity's chilling autobiographical notes, Lowen wrestles with disturbing confessions about Verity's husband Jeremy, and finds it hard to separate fiction from reality, manipulation from attraction, and opportunity from obsession.
The cast also includes Ismael Cruz Cordova and Brady Wagner. The Amazon Exclusive 4K UHD release includes unique packaging and a special offer from Audible. Both the 4K UHD and Blu-ray include commentary by director Showalter, plus 7 never-before-seen deleted scenes and 2 alternate endings.
The film's release drew praise for Hathaway's performance as the manipulative and unforgettable Verity. Verity will be available to watch at home on DVD, Blu-ray and Amazon Exclusive 4K UHD on December 15.
