AceShowbiz - Kody Brown and Robyn Brown have officially left the reality series Sister Wives after 16 years of filming, with the 21st season premiering on October 4 without their presence. The show's new season focuses on Kody’s former wives: Meri Brown, Christine Brown, and Janelle Brown.

The season 21 trailer confirmed Kody and Robyn will not return, marking a major shift for the long-running TLC series. Neither the Browns nor the network have publicly explained the reasons behind their departure. While some theories suggest contract disagreements or a desire to work on separate projects, no official statements have clarified their future plans. An Instagram post attributed to Kody expressing dissatisfaction with the show’s narrative has been noted but not independently verified.

Christine Brown, one of Kody’s former wives, recently experienced family tensions highlighted by the absence of her only biological daughter, Gwendlyn Brown, from her wedding to David Woolley earlier this month. Gwendlyn did not attend the ceremony but received a delivery of pizza cookies from her mother afterward. Christine’s other children, along with Janelle Brown and her children, were present, as was Leon Brown, Meri Brown’s son. Robyn and her children did not attend the wedding. Christine has publicly accused Kody of favoring Robyn and her children over his own, adding to the complex family dynamics following Kody and Robyn’s exit from the series.

The departure of Kody and Robyn represents a significant change for Sister Wives, which has chronicled the lives of the Browns for more than a decade and a half. Their exit leaves the spotlight firmly on the three remaining wives and their families, reshaping the show’s narrative moving forward. Fans will be watching closely to see how the series evolves without the Browns who have been central figures since the beginning.
