In October 2024, Young Thug entered a non-negotiated guilty plea to charges including participation in a criminal street gang, violations of Georgia’s controlled substance laws, and multiple gun offenses. Originally pleading not guilty in 2022, he was ultimately sentenced to 15 years of probation and required to complete 100 hours of community service each year during his probation.

Aside from sharing his story, Young Thug also sponsored a barbecue cookout at the academy, providing food for the young men and their families. He personally served hamburgers and hot dogs, creating a warm and supportive environment for the community gathering.
