AceShowbiz - Mike Nellis, Democratic strategist and host of the Substack Endless Urgency, told internet personality Clavicular on this week's episode, "Maybe you're the next president of the United States."
During the wide-ranging conversation, Nellis pressed Clavicular on his political associations and moral standing, leading to an unexpectedly candid exchange. "The Republican Party needs a new standard bearer. You're much more handsome than the current president of the United States," Nellis said.
"You never know," Clav replied.
The two found common ground on topics like GLP-1s and self-improvement. When Clav defended his looksmaxxing methods, he told Nellis, "I don't think it's fair to say my looksmaxxing method is extreme while you're sitting here taking [a GLP-1]... GLP-1s are literally one of the bread and butter looksmaxxes."
Nellis, who has been open about his weight loss journey, responded, "I used to weigh 600 pounds. I've lost 300 pounds. I noticed generally the way that people treat me is better at 300 pounds than it is at 600 pounds."
Clav, who aspires to be "the most beautiful man in the world" and lives in Miami, offered Nellis advice on eyebrow and eyelash density. "Once you dye them as well, your darker eyebrows versus your lighter skin, that makes you a lot more striking," Clav said.
Nellis was skeptical: "I'm sitting here and I'm bisexual. So, you know, I don't find you more attractive because your eyebrows are so dark. I actually find them very distracting and fake looking. It's like JD Vance with the mascara under his eyes... it might make his eyes pop more, but it's so distracting to me."
Clav responded, "I think that's just not much of an understanding of aesthetics."
The conversation also touched on personal growth. Nellis emphasized the importance of developing a core: "You can do all the looksmaxxing. You can make yourself as hot as possible. But if you don't have a core... the more that you can work on in your 20s figuring out who you are, the less harmful situations you put yourself in."
Clav shared his own journey toward health, saying, "I've hugely dialed back on taking stimulants... I don't really drink. So I've been really getting better and trying to become as healthy as possible in taking up the gym again, recently improving my diet. At the start of my streaming career, I was a little bit reckless all over the place. But it's taken me about six or seven months to really dial everything in, and I'm heading in a good direction."
Looking ahead, Clav said he wants to be a "renaissance man" and acknowledged that looks alone won't cut it in 2026: "If you're a good looking guy, it's not enough to compete in 2026 because there's another guy that's going to be also good looking with a great job who's really interesting to talk to. So if you're not coming with that super well-rounded full package, then don't come at all."
Nellis, whose Substack has over 1.2 million subscribers, has been featured on NewsNation, Fox News, CNN, Politico, and CBS News. The episode is part of his daily live show, which airs weekdays at 2pm ET.
