G Herbo’s ex-manager pleads guilty to stolen credit card scheme funding the rapper’s lavish lifestyle, including private jets and $9,000 puppies.

AceShowbiz - Steven Hayes Jr., the former manager linked to G Herbo, has entered a guilty plea for his role in a stolen credit card conspiracy that funded the rapper's extravagant lifestyle.

The guilty plea came on Monday after a jury deadlocked in February on the charges against Hayes. Federal prosecutors had originally charged him with both fraud and aggravated identity theft, but agreed to drop the identity theft count in exchange for his admission of guilt. Conviction on that count would have imposed a mandatory prison sentence of two and a half years.

The operation Hayes oversaw involved the use of stolen credit card information to finance luxury expenses, including private jet travel, limousine rides, expensive vacations, and even two designer puppies costing $9,000. This fraudulent activity occurred while Hayes was already serving probation for a gun charge in Cook County, Illinois, complicating his legal situation further.

Government estimates put Hayes' personal financial loss from the scheme at approximately $40,000. However, his defense is expected to challenge this figure during sentencing. So far, Hayes has agreed to reimburse $2,700 to airlines and limousine companies as restitution, a relatively small amount compared to the overall fraud.

G Herbo, the most prominent defendant in the case, was sentenced earlier in January 2024. He received three years’ probation after pleading guilty, along with an order to pay nearly $140,000 in restitution and forfeiture, plus a $5,500 fine.

Another co-defendant, Anthony Strong, faced harsher consequences, receiving a 34-month federal prison sentence for his participation in the scheme.

The entire fraud ring was uncovered when the group attempted to board a private jet that was part of a federal sting operation. This led to the case being prosecuted in Massachusetts federal court because one of the defrauded charter companies was based there.

According to reports from Yahoo News, Hayes is scheduled to be sentenced on October 6, 2026.
