AceShowbiz - 1900Rugrat has publicly accused Drake of using one of his beats without permission following previous collaboration discussions.

On Sunday, May 17, the Florida-based rapper took to Instagram to express his frustration after listening to Drake’s new album Iceman, which was released on May 15. According to 1900Rugrat, the Canadian superstar’s producer contacted him over a year ago about working together. Rugrat supported his claim by sharing alleged screenshots of direct messages between him and Drake.

1900Rugrat explained that he had sent more than 10 tracks for consideration. The beat that caught Drake’s attention was actually the intro track on Rugrat’s own album Porch 2 the Pent. However, Rugrat refused to give Drake permission to use that particular song, despite Drake wanting him to feature on his album. Although Drake promised to send a verse for the collaboration, it never materialized.

After hearing Iceman, 1900Rugrat noticed that the track titled "Little Birdie" sounded strikingly similar to his intro, which he claims to have solely produced. He expressed his disappointment and called out Drake for allegedly ripping his work, saying, “Don’t rip my sh*t when we pitch it like that, fam. That’s fried out and f**ked up, twin.”

In addition to Iceman, Drake dropped two other albums, Habibti and Maid of Honour, all on May 15. The controversy sparked by 1900Rugrat’s claims has drawn attention from fans and the hip-hop community alike.
