In an Instagram video, Lil Rel Howery revealed he missed the live roast and other events from Netflix Is a Joke due to filming commitments. After catching up, he commended performers like Regina Hall, Katt Williams, and Kevin Hart for fulfilling their roles effectively during the roast.

"Tony Hinchcliffe's joke about George Floyd didn't make f-ing sense to me. It was no reason to bring George Floyd into this. It was just disgusting," Howery stated, underscoring his disappointment with the content.

Additionally, Lil Rel Howery questioned the audience's reaction, pointing out that people booed when Draymond Green was mentioned but did not boo after the controversial Floyd joke. He found this inconsistency troubling and perplexing.
