AceShowbiz - Marcellus Wiley, former NFL player and sports media personality, is currently confronting fresh sexual assault allegations as four new accusers have come forward. These claims are part of ongoing court proceedings linked to a lawsuit involving him and Columbia University.
The ex-ESPN analyst had already denied accusations brought by three women in a 2023 lawsuit. Now, multiple women have accused Marcellus Wiley of assault occurrences over several years and in various locations.
One of the recent accusers, a former ESPN production assistant, alleges that in 2009, Wiley invited her to a hotel room under the guise of a work meeting and then attacked her. According to court documents, she described the incident: "He pushed me up against the windows of the room so hard I thought they would shatter. I was petrified and believed I was going to be killed."
Another woman claims Wiley groomed her starting at age 13 after they met during his tenure with the Buffalo Bills. She further alleges that he raped her on her 18th birthday after flying her to Dallas while he was with the Cowboys. She stated, "Marcellus Wiley raped me on my 18th birthday, after grooming me from the age of 13."
Wiley’s attorney has denied all allegations of sexual assault or rape of students at Columbia University. Meanwhile, Columbia University has also denied any responsibility related to the claims against Wiley.
A hearing regarding the proposed class-action lawsuit is scheduled for May 12, with the case still unfolding in court.
