AceShowbiz - Star One is an upcoming film to be directed by acclaimed filmmaker Doug Liman, who will helm the project starring Miles Teller and Eddie Redmayne. The movie is being launched at the Cannes market by Black Bear and CAA Media Finance.

The story is based on true events and centers on two very different CIA agents: one charismatic, portrayed by Teller, and the other more straight-laced, played by Redmayne. Together, they must undertake a perilous mission involving a covert journey that spans thousands of miles through enemy territory to deliver arms in secret.

The screenplay for Star One is written by David Coggeshall. Producing responsibilities are shared by P.J. van Sandwijk for Storyteller Productions alongside William Sherak, James Vanderbilt, and Paul Neinstein of Project X Entertainment.

CAA is managing domestic representation for the film, while Black Bear is handling international sales.

Doug Liman, known for directing hits like Bourne and Edge of Tomorrow, is currently working on another thriller titled Bitcoin, featuring Casey Affleck, Pete Davidson, and Gal Gadot. This project has attracted attention for significantly cutting costs by using AI technology, including "markerless performative capture stages" and avoiding on-location shoots.

The announcement of Star One adds to Liman's growing slate of ambitious projects, showcasing his continued focus on high-stakes, action-driven narratives with top-tier talent.
