Vic Mensa signs with Issa Rae’s ColorCreative, expanding his career in music, acting, and filmmaking under new management.

This new partnership positions Vic Mensa to strengthen his presence across multiple creative fields, including music, acting, and filmmaking. He will be represented by ColorCreative’s co-founder and president, Talitha Watkins, together with Trey Witter, who recently joined the company as a manager and producer.

He has collaborated with industry heavyweights like Kanye West, Jay-Z, Pharrell Williams, and Pusha T. His achievements include Grammy nominations, NAACP Image Award considerations, and recognition at the mtvU Woodie Awards.
In addition to his music accomplishments, Mensa has proven his acting skills with appearances on scripted television series including Showtime’s The Chi, HBO’s South Side, and Peacock’s Bel-Air. Beyond acting, his talents extend behind the camera, where he has earned accolades for his creative work.
Notably, Vic Mensa’s extended music video for "Blue Eyes" won Best Cinematography at the 2025 Conero Film and ADV Festival. His short film Halfrican, which premiered at SXSW 2026, continues to screen at festivals, showcasing his growing influence as a filmmaker.
ColorCreative is already home to established talent such as Robert Townsend and Sanaa Lathan.
