James McCoy Taylor, star of The Bachelorette, arrested again for assault and unlawful restraint after posting $10,000 bond.

AceShowbiz - James McCoy Taylor, who previously appeared on The Bachelorette, has been arrested for the second time on charges related to assault. This latest arrest took place on March 20, and involves accusations of causing bodily injury and unlawful restraint.
Court documents reveal that the warrant is connected to an incident allegedly occurring in April 2024. Taylor was taken into custody but was released the same day after posting a $10,000 bond. Authorities have not disclosed further details about the case, and Taylor has remained silent publicly regarding the arrest.
This is not the first time Taylor has faced legal issues. In 2023, he was involved in a case concerning a 19-year-old college student. Police reports state that after meeting at a bar, the woman went to his residence, where she claims the situation escalated. She alleged that after withdrawing her consent, Taylor restrained her, forcibly kissed her, and prevented her from leaving.
Text messages cited in police reports included pleas for help such as, "Please come get me" and "I'm not ok." Despite these allegations, Taylor denied wrongdoing, insisting the encounter was consensual. However, in 2025, he pleaded guilty and was sentenced to community service, fines, and anger management classes.
Additionally, Taylor was ordered to have no contact with the accuser and was banned from a local entertainment district as part of the sentence.
This new arrest comes amid increased scrutiny of The Bachelorette franchise, especially following the cancellation of Taylor Frankie Paul's season due to resurfaced past allegations against him.
