AceShowbiz - North West, daughter of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, has launched her debut EP titled N0rth4ever, accompanied by a striking music video showcasing her cheek piercings and bold new blue hair.
The 12-year-old artist released her first collection of six tracks on 1 May 2026 via streaming platforms, following the earlier drop of her single "Piercing On My Hand." This release comes just months after signing with the music label Gamma in late 2025, marking her official entry as a solo performer.
Before unveiling her own music, North West had already been credited as a producer on various songs by other artists, but N0rth4ever stands as her first solo effort. Proud mother Kim Kardashian shared a screenshot of the album’s Apple Music listing on Instagram, where it is categorized under hip hop and rap genres, though some tracks have been described as having a metal influence.
The lead track, "#North4ever," was released alongside a visually intense music video that blends elements of heavy rock and addresses themes of mental health. In the song, North openly sings about her struggles, with lyrics like: "Know it’s been a hard time for me lately, I’ve been deep in the dark, you can’t save me." She also touches on the presence of "fake" people around her, singing: "Know my mind’s in a place that is not safe (What? What?) So much people ’round me, but I know they all fake."
Visually, the music video spotlights North’s distinctive new look, featuring multiple facial piercings including a bridge nose ring and two cheek piercings. This isn’t the first time she has been seen with facial piercings; back in February, she sported symmetrical studs across her cheeks, lips, and nose. Fans have also noticed studded decorations on her fingers, hands, and wrists, though it's unclear whether these are genuine piercings or temporary stickers.
The decision to showcase such a bold style on a young star has sparked criticism online, with many questioning the parenting choices of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West. North West responded to the backlash herself via TikTok on an account she shares with her mother. In a video, a sound saying, "Why are you crying? How old are you? Just pull it together," plays in the background. Text over the clip reads: "This is for everyone that’s mad over a finger piercing."
Kim Kardashian also defended her parenting decisions in a recent appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast, stating: "It makes her so happy. I would never take that creative [style] away from her." This suggests that both mother and daughter view the piercings and style choices as an important part of North’s personal and artistic expression.
Adding to her evolving image, North also recently debuted vibrant blue hair, which seems to align with her creative branding. In fact, Kim Kardashian, who is also a trainee lawyer and entrepreneur, has filed three trademark applications for a new fashion and jewelry line named NOR11. The name appears to combine the first three letters of North’s name with the age she was when the idea was formed.
The trademark filings, submitted by KimYe’s Kid Inc., a California corporation established in August 2023, cover a wide range of products. One application includes clothing and accessories such as footwear, hats, stockings, and dresses. Another covers watches and jewelry, including bracelets, earrings, rings, and necklaces. The third application protects bags, handbags, wallets, and cosmetic cases under the brand name.
Although the brand name reflects both of North West’s parents, the filings list only Kim Kardashian as an officer, with the registered office belonging to Lou Taylor, a business manager. Kanye West is notably not included in the business paperwork.
In addition to the album and music video, North West is reportedly preparing to perform in a concert, further establishing her presence in the music industry. Fans and critics alike will be watching closely as this young artist continues to develop her sound and style.
While the bold aesthetic choices and early career moves have stirred debate, it’s clear that North West is carving out a unique path in entertainment, supported by her mother and shaping her own creative identity at a young age.
