Rosalía wins International Songwriter of the Year at The Ivors 2026; the Catalonian star is honored for her cultural and commercial impact.

AceShowbiz - Rosalía, the Catalonian singer-songwriter, is set to be honored with the International Songwriter of the Year award at The Ivors 2026 ceremony. The event will take place on May 21 at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London.
The Ivors Academy, a prominent European professional association for music writers, presents this award annually to an international songwriter whose released songs have made a significant cultural and commercial impact in the U.K. over the preceding year. Last year, Brandon Flowers from The Killers received this special international recognition for his songwriting contributions.
The Ivors Awards, established in 1956, have a long history of recognizing influential artists both from the U.K. and abroad. Legendary recipients include The Beatles, David Bowie, Adele, Stevie Wonder, Bruce Springsteen, Mick Jagger, and Keith Richards, among others.
Rosalía released her fourth studio album, Lux, in October 2025. The album was met with critical acclaim and achieved strong chart success, reaching No. 4 on both the U.K.’s Official Albums Chart and the Billboard 200. Notably, Lux features Rosalía performing in 13 different languages, such as Spanish, Catalan, English, Latin, German, and Arabic.
Earlier this year, Rosalía won the International Artist of the Year award at the 2026 BRIT Awards. She also delivered a memorable performance of the Lux single “Berghain” during the ceremony, which included a guest appearance by Björk.

The upcoming Ivors ceremony will also feature nominations for artists such as Olivia Dean, Wolf Alice, Lola Young, and Coldplay. The event continues to be a prestigious platform for honoring songwriting talent worldwide.
