AceShowbiz - Wet Leg made a strong impression during the debut episode of Saturday Night Live UK, which premiered on March 21. The U.K. adaptation of the iconic sketch comedy series featured Tina Fey as host and the English indie rock band Wet Leg as the musical guest.

The show opened live from London with Fey delivering the monologue, which included surprise appearances by actor Michael Cera and British talk show host Graham Norton. Fey remarked on the historic nature of the event, stating, "It's an absolute honour and kind of historic. Guys, I am the youngest person to ever host SNL UK!"

Wet Leg performed two songs from their second album, Moisturizer, which has achieved notable chart success. The album debuted at No. 6 on Billboard's Top Rock & Alternative Albums chart and reached No. 1 on the U.K.'s Official Albums Chart. Their first performance on the show was the album’s fourth single, "Mangetout," a track nominated for a Grammy and recognized as one of Billboard’s 20 best U.K. and Ireland songs of 2025.

The band returned later in the episode to perform "Catch These Fists," the lead single from Moisturizer. These performances showcased the band's evolving sound and growing international appeal.

Following their appearance on Saturday Night Live UK, Wet Leg will return to the United States for a series of major music festival appearances. Their upcoming schedule includes performances at Coachella, Governors Ball, Bonnaroo, and Outside Lands. Additionally, their U.S. tour is set to commence on April 15 at the Fox Theater in Pomona, California.

The series has already announced its next two episodes. On March 28, Wolf Alice will perform on the show hosted by Jamie Dornan, followed by Kasabian on the April 2 episode with host Riz Ahmed.

Saturday Night Live UK airs on Sky in the U.K. and streams on Peacock in the U.S. The premiere episode attracted over 220,000 viewers on Sky, according to The Hollywood Reporter. It became available to U.S. audiences on March 22 through Peacock’s streaming service.
