AceShowbiz - Ariana Grande is preparing to launch a new chapter in her music career with the announcement of her eighth studio album, Petal. The pop icon revealed the album via Instagram on April 28, sparking excitement among fans who have eagerly awaited her next project.
Earlier hints about the album surfaced last month when Grande updated her Instagram bio to include a flower emoji and shared images from the recording studio, suggesting new music was on the horizon. She had previously mentioned needing “an extra brain and four more arms” to manage the demands of releasing an album this summer, emphasizing how packed her schedule has been.
Indeed, Ariana Grande has been extremely busy. In November, she concluded the Wicked franchise with the release of Wicked: For Good. This month, Universal Pictures unveiled the trailer for her upcoming film, Focker-in-Law, the fourth installment in the Meet the Parents series, scheduled for release this Thanksgiving. Additionally, Grande is set to make her West End debut in 2027 with a revival of Stephen Sondheim’s Sunday in the Park With George. Alongside her entertainment projects, her beauty brand, R.E.M. Beauty, continues to launch new products and campaigns featuring her.
Petal will follow her 2024 Billboard 200-topping album Eternal Sunshine, which produced two Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 singles: “Yes, And?” and “We Can’t Be Friends (Wait for Your Love).” Notably, the new album will be released during the ongoing Eternal Sunshine tour, which kicks off on June 8 in Oakland, California, and concludes on September 1 in London.
The official release date for Petal is set for July 31, marking a significant milestone amid Grande’s demanding professional commitments. Fans can anticipate fresh music that continues her artistic evolution while she balances multiple high-profile endeavors.
