AceShowbiz - Maphra's rendition of Bring Me the Horizon's song Doomed has surged to the number one position on Billboard's Hot Hard Rock Songs chart dated March 28.

During the tracking week ending March 19, Maphra's cover accumulated 1.2 million official U.S. streams, marking a 24% increase compared to the previous week, based on data from Luminate. Additionally, the track sold 1,000 digital downloads, securing the top spot for the second consecutive week on the Hard Rock Digital Song Sales chart.

The cover was widely released on February 28, making its first Billboard appearance on the March 21 charts, where it debuted at number one on Hard Rock Digital Song Sales and reached number five on Hot Hard Rock Songs.

However, the cover was initially introduced earlier on social media platforms, with Maphra premiering the version on January 31. The performance quickly gained viral traction, with one TikTok upload garnering over 7 million views, while the most popular Instagram video approaches 6 million views.

Maphra maintains a relatively private profile but has previously attracted attention on short-form video platforms with covers of songs by artists like Bad Omens and Spiritbox.

The original track Doomed by Bring Me the Horizon is the lead song on their 2015 album That's the Spirit, which debuted at number one on the Top Rock & Alternative Albums chart that October. The song itself charted briefly at number 41 on Hot Rock & Alternative Songs during the same month.

Since the release of Maphra's cover, the original version of Doomed has also experienced a resurgence in streaming numbers. It increased from 255,000 streams during the January 23-29 week to 373,000 streams in the following week (January 30-February 5). Streams continued to grow, reaching 460,000 for the week of February 6-12 and 692,000 for February 13-19. The song has consistently remained in the 600,000-stream range since then.

Maphra's viral success on digital platforms and strong streaming performance highlight a significant moment for the artist within the hard rock community, marking a notable achievement on Billboard's charts.
