AceShowbiz - Katie Cassidy and William H. Macy are set to star in the upcoming horror film SPEED DEMON, which is scheduled for release on May 31, 2026, in theaters and on demand/digital.

The movie, directed by Jon Keeyes and written by Domenico Salvaggio, follows a nun who must perform an exorcism on a demon-possessed train. The plot centers on Father Novak and Sister Lu, who board a train from Montreal to New York City only to face danger and evil when the train is taken over by the demon Asmodeus.

As possessed passengers wreak havoc on the runaway train, Sister Lu is forced to overcome her faltering faith and perform what is described as the first exorcism done by a nun. The film has a run time of 96 minutes, is unrated, and falls squarely into the horror genre.

The official trailer has been released, offering a glimpse into the intense and supernatural thrills that await audiences. It showcases the high-stakes battle between the characters and the demonic forces aboard the speeding train.

Keeyes directs from a script by Salvaggio, with the project distributed by Maverick Film and Complex Corp. This collaboration marks a notable entry into the horror genre for both production companies.

With its unique premise of combining exorcism themes with a confined, high-speed setting, SPEED DEMON aims to deliver a fresh take on supernatural horror. The involvement of seasoned actors like Cassidy and Macy adds star power to the chilling narrative.

As the release date approaches, fans of horror can anticipate more promotional materials and updates leading up to the film's debut in 2026.
