White Chicks 2? Marlon & Shawn Wayans say a sequel depends on fan demand and the success of their new Scary Movie.

AceShowbiz - The White Chicks sequel may be on the horizon, but only if audiences show enough enthusiasm, according to brothers Marlon Wayans and Shawn Wayans. The duo, who recently returned to the screen for the latest Scary Movie installment, discussed the possibility of revisiting their 2004 cult comedy during an interview with Entertainment Tonight.
Marlon Wayans expressed openness to the idea, saying, "I'll put it this way: we're game. We want to know if people want to come out and laugh, and [if] they come see Scary Movie, then I definitely..." Shawn Wayans added, "If this movie does well, a White Chicks 2 can happen." Their comments hint that the sequel depends largely on the success of their current projects and the fans’ response.
The original White Chicks follows two disgraced FBI agents who disguise themselves as white socialite sisters to foil a kidnapping plot. Both Marlon and Shawn Wayans starred in and co-wrote the film alongside their brother, Keenen Ivory Wayans, who directed the movie. The 2004 comedy has since gained a devoted following for its outrageous humor and memorable performances.
Despite their enthusiasm for a potential follow-up, Marlon Wayans has previously spoken about the intense demands of the first film’s production. On Kai Cenat’s Mafiathon 3 livestream last year, he revealed that the makeup process alone took seven hours each day. Following that, the cast and crew worked 14-hour days, resulting in only three hours of rest each night. Marlon described the grueling schedule, explaining that removing the makeup took an additional hour after long workdays.
Fans will have to wait and see if the brothers decide to revisit White Chicks for a sequel. In the meantime, audiences can catch Marlon and Shawn Wayans together in Scary Movie 6, which is set to hit theaters on June 5. This marks their return to the franchise after missing the last three installments.
The Wayans brothers’ willingness to consider another White Chicks film reflects their ongoing commitment to entertaining fans, provided there is enough demand to justify the project. Until then, their current work continues to showcase their comedic talents and enduring appeal in Hollywood.
