AceShowbiz - The investigation into the April 6 shooting involving Offset has taken a significant turn as the FBI has assumed control of the case. The incident occurred outside the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida.
On Tuesday, federal agents made public several images showing individuals believed to be linked to the shooting, along with the vehicles used in the getaway. The FBI identified two Chevrolet SUVs involved: a matte gray Tahoe and a black Suburban. One photo depicts a man speaking on a cellphone next to one of these SUVs, while others show several men gathered beside the vehicles.
The FBI confirmed that these photos are tied to the shooting, which stemmed from a confrontation between Offset and fellow rapper Lil Tjay outside the casino. According to authorities, the altercation escalated when a suspect opened fire, injuring Offset with a gunshot wound described as non-life-threatening.
Additionally, investigators allege that the suspects attempted to steal Offset’s watch before fleeing the scene in the SUVs. Despite the injury, Offset demonstrated resilience by returning to perform days later at the University of Arkansas' Rawfest. He appeared initially in a wheelchair before standing to complete his performance, later sharing clips on Instagram with the caption "REAL LOVE." Some fans controversially accused him of using the wheelchair for publicity, but no official statement has addressed these claims.
The FBI continues to seek public assistance in identifying the men shown in these released images as the investigation progresses.
