AceShowbiz - Body camera footage released by the Gwinnett County Police Department captures the intense arrest of King Harris following a high-speed traffic stop. Officers reported that the suspect was driving his Tesla Cybertruck at nearly 70 mph in a 45 mph zone near Holcomb Bridge Road and Peachtree Corners Circle in Peachtree Corners on April 12.
According to the police, the Cybertruck was wrapped in camouflage and moving so fast that an officer had to accelerate to 80 mph just to catch up. In the video, an officer tells King Harris, "You were absolutely flying down the road."
After the vehicle was stopped, officers noticed a handgun on the dashboard and an open container of THC in the center console. They then ordered Harris to exit the truck, but he refused multiple times. The officers warned him he could face arrest for obstruction if he did not comply. One officer stated in the footage, "You're under arrest if you don't step out."
Eventually, Harris exited the Cybertruck after consulting with his attorney by phone. During the booking process, authorities say they found what appeared to be an oxycodone pill on him.
King Harris was charged with obstruction, speeding, and possession of a controlled substance. The video also shows officers speaking with his father, rapper T.I., following the arrest.
