AceShowbiz - Paige DeSorbo and Hannah Berner have publicly expressed their support for their former Summer House co-star, Ciara Miller, amid recent controversy involving the Bravo reality series.

The tension surfaced following the announcement of a relationship between Amanda Batula and West Wilson on Tuesday, which stirred speculation given Batula’s long-standing friendship with Miller and Miller’s past relationship with Wilson.

During the Friday episode of their podcast Giggly Squad, DeSorbo addressed the situation delicately, acknowledging the public interest and online chatter. “Obviously, we’re live. We see the internet, we know what’s going on,” she said. “Ciara is our real friend, in real life. So we have been talking to her, consoling her. We are behind her a hundred percent. We would never capitalize or monetize off of our friend’s heartbreak.”

Berner also expressed her affection for Ciara, highlighting that Miller was the only guest ever featured on their podcast. She praised Miller’s strength and intelligence, emphasizing that Miller would address the controversy on her own terms. “Ciara is a strong, intelligent, capable woman. She will speak her truth when it is her time,” DeSorbo added. “I would never speak for her, and also, this is reality TV.”

Ciara Miller joined the cast of Summer House in its fifth season, which coincided with Berner’s final year on the show. Meanwhile, DeSorbo appeared from seasons three through nine before announcing her departure ahead of the tenth season, which is currently airing.

Rumors about a romance between Batula and Wilson circulated throughout March, with both denying the claims at the time. However, the relationship was later confirmed publicly, escalating the drama within the Summer House cast.

West Wilson joined Summer House in season eight, which premiered in 2024. It was during this season that he began dating Ciara Miller. Their relationship lasted through the end of the year, but at the season eight reunion, they announced their split. Miller disclosed that Wilson told her he could not commit to a serious relationship “for show related reasons.”

Their relationship experienced ups and downs throughout season nine. Season ten, which debuted in February, has shown the pair reconnecting and reflecting on their past romance. In episode seven, Miller admitted, “it’s very clear that we both miss each other,” and described their situation as “a weird state of like, limbo, and so it’s all just coming out so disorganized and a bit crazy.”

Meanwhile, Amanda Batula and her husband, Kyle Cooke, announced their separation in January, a storyline that has been featured on season ten of Summer House. Cooke has defended Batula amid backlash concerning her relationship with Wilson. He also acknowledged there was some ambiguity around the timeline of their separation, which he said would be addressed during the upcoming reunion.

“There’s a little murkiness as to our separation and when we put the announcement out that I think we’ll have to address at the reunion,” Cooke explained. “Right now, I’m just honestly more concerned about Amanda’s mental health than I am trying to get to the bottom of it, because I am worried about her. I don’t think West is in a place to offer her what she needs. It’s a weird position to find myself in.”

Among the Summer House cast, DeSorbo, Berner, and Cooke have been the most vocal regarding the scandal. Ciara Miller has remained silent publicly but took action on social media by unfollowing both Batula and Wilson after their joint Instagram announcement on Tuesday.

On the same day the relationship was confirmed, Miller posted a video on Instagram of herself interviewing the cast of Your Friends & Neighbors. She captioned the post, “If you can’t trust your Friends & Neighbors, who can you trust?”

Despite the turmoil surrounding Summer House, sources told The Hollywood Reporter that the show’s cameras will not capture the fallout from this scandal. The reunion episode, where Miller will confront Batula and Wilson in person for the first time since the news broke, is scheduled to film in the coming weeks.
