AceShowbiz - Disney recently canceled the season of Taylor Frankie Paul on The Bachelorette, and now her ex, Dakota Mortensen, is facing similar repercussions. According to Variety, Dakota Mortensen will be edited out of the upcoming third season of Hulu’s Vanderpump Villa, which is scheduled to premiere on April 16 without his presence.
Production on season five of Secret Lives of Mormon Wives has also been paused. This decision follows a police investigation involving both Mortensen and Paul amid allegations of domestic violence. The ongoing legal scrutiny appears to be influencing the removal of Mortensen from these reality projects.
The premise of Vanderpump Villa season three connects directly to Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. As revealed in season four of the latter series, the "DadTok" cast members—husbands or baby daddies of the stars—visit Lisa Vanderpump’s luxurious English retreat for a weekend of events that lead to various antics with the Vanderpump Villa ensemble. Despite being filmed, the men are notably secretive about the weekend’s happenings.
Among the revelations, Jordan Ngatikaura, the now ex-boyfriend of Jessi Draper, disclosed that Mortensen was involved in a four-way kiss with three women and reportedly had sex with one of them. Upon learning of this, Paul reportedly had an emotional breakdown, directly confronting Mortensen about the encounter.
Despite being edited out of Vanderpump Villa, Mortensen still has a storyline lined up for the upcoming episode of Alex Cooper’s Unwell Winter Games. However, it remains uncertain if that appearance will remain unchanged, depending on Cooper’s decisions moving forward.
