AceShowbiz - The E.W. Scripps Company has revealed exciting additions to its programming slate, including an unscripted original series produced by Kevin Hart, a new interview show hosted by former CNN and Fox News anchor Alisyn Camerota, and a dedicated 24/7 sports FAST channel.
These announcements were made ahead of the company’s 2026-27 upfront presentation scheduled this week in New York. Scripps operates a broad portfolio that includes local and national broadcast TV, streaming platforms, digital media, and print publications. Among its notable assets is the annual spelling bee event.
With broadcast rights to WNBA and NWSL games through the Ion network, as well as other live sports across various channels, Scripps aims to create a continuous destination for sports content. The newly launched Scripps Sports Network (SSN) will feature live events, original programming, documentaries, and other sports-related material.
The SSN channel will debut on major streaming services such as the Roku Channel, Amazon’s Fire TV Channels and Prime Video, and Samsung TV Plus starting Tuesday. This move is part of Scripps’ strategy to expand its footprint in the fast-growing free ad-supported streaming TV (FAST) market.
Alongside sports, the company’s collaboration with Kevin Hart on a new unscripted project and the interview series with Alisyn Camerota will diversify its original content offerings, further solidifying its presence across multiple media platforms.
