AceShowbiz - Assassin's Creed is expanding its cast with the addition of Noomi Rapace, Ramzy Bedia, Sean Harris, and Corrado Invernizzi to Netflix’s adaptation of the popular Ubisoft video game. These actors join previously confirmed stars including Lola Petticrew, Toby Wallace, Zachary Hart, Laura Marcus, and Tanzyn Crawford in the high-octane thriller series.
The series centers on a covert conflict between two secretive factions: one group seeks to control humanity’s future through manipulation, while the other fights to protect free will. Throughout the show, characters navigate pivotal moments in history as they attempt to influence the course of mankind's destiny.
Details about the specific roles that Noomi Rapace, Ramzy Bedia, Sean Harris, and Corrado Invernizzi will portray remain undisclosed at this time.
Since launching in 2007, the Assassin’s Creed franchise has sold over 230 million copies worldwide, ranking it among the best-selling video game series ever. The property was previously adapted into a feature film in 2016, directed by Justin Kurzel and starring Michael Fassbender. Ubisoft announced plans for a television adaptation back in 2017.
This new series joins Netflix’s growing slate of video game adaptations, which includes acclaimed titles like Castlevania, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, and the upcoming Splinter Cell: Deathwatch. Another notable success, Arcane, based on Riot Games’ League of Legends, has earned Annie and Emmy Awards for its innovative animation.
Executive producers on the project include Gerard Guillemot, Margaret Boykin, Austin Dill, Genevieve Jones for Ubisoft Film & Television, and Matt O’Toole, with showrunner Robert Patino and David Wiener leading the creative team.
