AceShowbiz - Chris Harrison is set to make a comeback to reality television nearly five years after his departure from the "Bachelor" franchise. He will host a new, untitled dating series on Fox Nation that centers on individuals seeking a traditional marriage.
The series, expected to premiere in 2027, is designed for single men and women aged 21 and older who desire a relationship based on commitment, shared values, and marriage-minded intentions. Prior to the announcement of Fox Nation’s involvement, Chris Harrison shared a casting call on Instagram, emphasizing that the show is for singles who believe in clear roles and long-term partnership.
The official description of the show states, "Several women will embark on a relationship journey designed for individuals seeking lasting commitment. Blending romance, real-world compatibility tests and emotionally charged eliminations, the series reimagines modern dating through the lens of shared values, authenticity and the goal of marriage."
Chris Harrison is not working alone on this project. Several former producers from the "Bachelor" franchise are involved, including Louis Caris as executive producer, Elan Gale as consulting producer, Linday Liles as casting director, and Michael Shea as director. Additionally, executive producers include Chris Harrison’s wife, Lauren Zima, along with Lionsgate Alternative Television’s Nicholas Caprio and Tom Huffman.
Chris Harrison hosted "The Bachelor" and its spinoffs starting in 2002 until his exit in 2021. His departure followed controversy after he defended contestant Rachael Kirkconnell amid backlash over her attendance at an antebellum plantation-themed party during college. Reports at the time noted that after a temporary hiatus, Chris Harrison’s team grew frustrated with the prolonged process around his potential return and the lack of public support from the network and studio.
This new Fox Nation series marks Chris Harrison’s reentry into reality TV with a focus on traditional marriage values.
