A tragic year for the online world. Remembering the social media creators and influencers who died in 2026.

AceShowbiz - The online community spent much of 2026 mourning the untimely deaths of numerous social media creators and influencers, whose passings were marked by tributes across digital platforms.
One of the first losses of the year was Sergio Jiménez, who died at age 37 while recording a private New Year's Eve livestream. Spanish outlets El País and El Periódico reported that Sergio Jiménez was allegedly completing challenges involving the consumption of alcohol and cocaine in exchange for money.
Just days later, on January 3, content creator Athira Auni died at age 21 following a motorcycle accident.
Later in January, news emerged that Isabel Veloso had died at age 19 after a battle with Hodgkin's lymphoma. Around the same time, Jéssica Daugirdas passed away at age 35 after being hospitalized for sepsis while battling colorectal cancer. Her family confirmed her death in a statement on January 25.
February brought further tragedy. Influencer Chinnu Papu died by suicide at age 24. Later that month, Young Melvyn died at age 22 after a car accident, and wellness influencer Gabriela Martins Santos de Moura died at age 31 following complications from an IVF procedure.
The family of Gabriela Martins Santos de Moura confirmed she died on February 24. Her cousin told Brazilian news outlet G1 that she suffered a cardiorespiratory arrest at a clinic and was later in a coma for eight days before passing.
Regarding Young Melvyn, French newspaper Le Parisien reported he lost control of his car and crashed into a highway median around 1 a.m. on February 23. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Other notable losses in early 2026 included Brazilian content creator Bianca Dias, who died on February 19 days after a cosmetic surgery procedure. Her friend stated she had a pulmonary clot and seizures.
Influencer Damiano Alberti's family shared on February 16 that he died after a three-year battle with cancer. They wrote in a statement, "A part of us has flown away forever."
Emma Amit, 51, died in the hospital on February 6, two days after she filmed herself eating the toxic "Devil Crab," according to multiple outlets.
