AceShowbiz - Baby Keem recently returned with his highly anticipated album Ca$ino, marking his first major release since 2021’s The Melodic Blue. The project, which launched on February 20, features 12 tracks and showcases collaborations with notable artists such as his cousin Kendrick Lamar, Too Short, Momo Boys, and Che Ecru.
The excitement for Baby Keem’s new work began when he announced the album on February 10, ending a nearly five-year wait for fresh music. Fans quickly reacted, expressing high expectations for the project to become a classic in hip-hop.
Alongside the album release, Baby Keem shared a multi-part documentary on YouTube titled Ca$ino, offering an intimate look at the creative process behind the album. One highlighted scene features Kendrick Lamar and Keem collaborating in the studio on the track “Good Flirts.”
In the documentary, Kendrick Lamar reflects on their shared upbringing and family history, emphasizing the struggles they faced growing up. "I understand the hardships before he was born. Knowing his mom, that’s my first cousin," Lamar explains. He adds, "We don’t call ourselves the hillbillies for nothing." The rapper further describes the environment as one filled with economic challenges like Section 8 housing and welfare, framing their journey as a battle to overcome generational obstacles.
Baby Keem initially burst onto the scene with his debut album The Melodic Blue in September 2021, which climbed to No. 5 on the Billboard 200 chart. He later released a deluxe edition in October 2022, featuring guest appearances from Lil Uzi Vert and PinkPantheress, expanding his musical reach.
To support Ca$ino, Baby Keem will embark on The Ca$ino Tour starting April 15 in Raleigh, North Carolina. Produced by Live Nation, the North American leg includes stops in major cities such as Los Angeles, New York, Montreal, Dallas, and Atlanta, concluding June 7 in Boston.
The tour continues across Europe and the UK beginning August 31 in Cologne, Germany, with additional dates planned in Berlin, Paris, Amsterdam, London, and Glasgow before wrapping up in London on September 18.
Fans can stream Ca$ino now and experience the dynamic energy Baby Keem brings to his evolving career.
