AceShowbiz - The iconic daytime talk show, The View, is set to welcome back some familiar faces during Alyssa Farah Griffin's upcoming maternity leave. Executive producer Brian Teta recently confirmed to Deadline that former panelists Elisabeth Hasselbeck and Abby Huntsman will rejoin the Hot Topics Table, alongside guest host Amanda Carpenter, comedian Whitney Cummings, former The Talk host Sheryl Underwood, and reality star Savannah Chrisley. The guest lineup begins with Chrisley on February 17.

In discussing the five new guest hosts, Teta emphasized their diverse viewpoints and their proven abilities or potential to excel in this format. Interestingly, the return of Hasselbeck—who was a mainstay on the panel from 2003 to 2013 before her brief return as a guest host in 2022—might come as a surprise to some. Since leaving, the former Survivor contestant has made headlines for her outspoken views, including accusations against her former colleagues of endorsing Kamala Harris merely for being a woman, as well as criticizing Joy Behar for her comments about Carrie Underwood's performance at President Trump's inauguration.

On Wednesday, Hasselbeck took to her Instagram story to share her excitement about returning, expressing her gratitude for the opportunity. She congratulated Griffin and reflected on her time as a host, noting that she and her husband Tim welcomed all three of their children during her previous tenure on the show. “I’m excited to go back. I’m honored that they asked me,” she stated. “It’s a really intelligent group of women that will be returning to The View and visiting during that time, and filling in for [Griffin]. So thank you for the opportunity, ABC.”

Huntsman, who joined The View in 2018 and left in 2020, made a brief return in 2021 for a special Flashback Friday episode. The show airs on weekdays at 11 a.m. ET on ABC, maintaining its reputation for engaging discussions on hot topics and current events.
