This eight-track collection is available for streaming on major online platforms, with a physical version set to hit shelves on Friday, February 13. Fans can pre-order their copies through various retailers.

Timed perfectly for Valentine’s Day, Everybody’s Gotta Learn Sometime is described as “a lovingly curated collection of rarities, deep cuts and covers.” The album features some of Beck’s most cherished standalone singles, contributions to soundtracks, eclectic cover versions, and two exclusive previously unreleased tracks.

The title track is Beck’s rendition of The Korgis’ classic Everybody’s Got To Learn Sometime, which has been a staple in his live performances since it appeared in the soundtrack for the 2004 film Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind. This song has become a highlight in his recent orchestral concerts.

Included in this mini-album are Beck’s interpretations of Elvis Presley’s Can’t Help Falling In Love and The Flamingos’ I Only Have Eyes For You, alongside tributes to John Lennon with Love and Caetano Veloso with Michelangelo Antonioni.

The only original track by Beck featured on this release is Ramona, which was initially included in the soundtrack for Scott Pilgrim vs. The World in 2010. Additionally, the album presents two never-before-seen recordings of Beck’s distinctive reinterpretations: Your Cheatin’ Heart by Hank Williams and True Love Will Find You In The End by Daniel Johnston.

Previously, Beck released his latest full-length album, Hyperspace, in 2019. He has also hinted at working on an orchestral project after performing at London’s Royal Albert Hall last spring, where he showcased his orchestral talents.

In addition, Beck collaborated with Jeff Buckley’s Lilac Wine alongside Arooj Aftab for the charity album HELP(2), aimed at supporting War Child.
