AceShowbiz - This week on "Saturday Night Live," Donald Trump was the star of a fictional awards show celebrating his unique brand of notoriety. The episode kicked off with the inaugural Trump Awards, an event dedicated to "honoring the best in being or succumbing to President Trump." Hosted by James Austin Johnson in character as Trump, the sketch humorously showcased the absurdity of the situation.
Johnson's Trump quipped, "After that lady whose name I already forgot gave me her Nobel Prize, I thought, 'I need more awards!'" The atmosphere was charged with excitement as he declared, "Everyone wants to go home with a Trump... except, of course, Melania."
The first award, Best Picture (of Me), unsurprisingly went to Trump. In a comedic acceptance speech, he exclaimed, "I love me! I really love me!" He took a moment to thank himself and joked about "the big man upstairs, which is what I call my brain tumor." Despite acknowledging the world's pressing issues, he confidently declared, "I promise you: I'm just getting started!"
However, the sketch took a twist when Homeland Security director Kristi Noem won for Best Kiss (of Trump's posterior). In a Kanye West-style interruption, Trump seized her trophy, adding to the comedic chaos. The Lifetime Achievement Award for Comedy went to the eccentric billionaire Elon Musk, portrayed by the returning Mike Myers. Musk energetically introduced a tribute video, highlighting various disasters that occurred during Trump's administration, including the destruction of the White House's East Wing.
