"I just want to have fun," Nikki Glaser told E! News’ Zuri Hall on the red carpet of the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California. "I literally was having fun last time. I was surprisingly present. You don’t know until it happens. I hope that happens for me tonight when I walk out on stage—to a Taylor Swift song by the way."

Glaser teased that the song would likely be one of the hits from Taylor's iconic album, 1989, adding, "I never go out of style is all I’ll say." Her enthusiasm was palpable as she expressed, "I’m so excited about it. It gives me this most confidence to strut out there to that song."

At 41 years old, Nikki Glaser has moved past the initial nerves she felt during her inaugural hosting gig last year. This time, she's embracing a positive energy for the evening ahead. "I'm sensing a really cool comedy show vibe," she noted. "That's what you want."

Having gained fame in 2024 after a viral roast of football legend Tom Brady, Nikki Glaser admitted that her comfort level has increased significantly since her previous hosting experience. "I don’t run into these people a lot," she explained, reflecting on the star-studded nominees from 2025, which included the likes of Nicole Kidman, Demi Moore, and Denzel Washington. "So, I'm standing up there and it's blowing my mind that Angelina Jolie has to listen to me talk for nine minutes."

Despite her seemingly effortless performance at the 2025 ceremony, Nikki Glaser revealed the extensive preparation that went into her hosting duties. "We've run through this thing 93 times; this will be my 94th time telling some version of this," she shared. "It's still changing, even from the last time I told it, 'til now. So, we're constantly making edits, trying to top jokes, trying to just strike the right note and tone for the evening."

This year, Nikki Glaser has already encountered a few hiccups in her preparations. During one rehearsal, she realized that Julia Roberts is too beloved to be the target of any jokes, recalling a moment when a light-hearted jab did not land well during a practice session at a Hollywood comedy club. "You have to be very delicate about making jokes that aren't going to ruin anyone's night," she explained during an appearance on CBS Mornings on January 6. "But you also want to give the people at home something to laugh at, and you want to poke fun at the people that they're dying for you to make fun of. People at home want you to make fun of the A-listers."
