Most recently, the duo was rumored to have enjoyed a movie date watching Michael B. Jordan's movie "Sinners". A fan who encountered the pair at the cinema shared his excitement online.
"What a dayyyyy! Watched the best movie of the year - the hype is real, go watch it!! Walked out of the toilet to come face to face with @tomcruise and Ana de Armas!" the fan claimed.
While de Armas remained tight-lipped about the outing, she did "like" Cruise's social media post where he congratulated the team behind the movie they watched. "Congratulations Ryan, Michael, and to the entire cast and crew. Must see in a cinema and stay through the end credits!" Cruise wrote.
Despite the widespread gossip, insiders have been adamant that the meetings between Cruise and de Armas are purely professional. A source relayed to DailyMail.com, "Everything with Tom and Ana is innocent. They are hanging out to talk about future movies that they could do together."
One particular project that Cruise is keen to push forward is a sequel to "Days of Thunder."
