AceShowbiz - Lisa Rinna looked back at her past struggles of postpartum depression (PPD). The 61-year-old alum of "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" revealed her harrowing experience following the birth of her two daughters with husband Harry Hamlin.

On their podcast "Let's Not Talk About the Husband", Lisa recalled her unexpected and severe struggle with PPD after Delilah's birth, a condition that intensified following the arrival of Amelia.

Describing the early days of motherhood, Rinna admitted, "I didn't know it. I didn't know what it was." She felt "absolutely hopeless" and suffered from "horrible visions, hallucinations," and psychotic episodes, which spanned over months.

Harry reflected on this challenging period, sharing a vivid memory, "You said, 'I'm gonna kill you.' And I said, 'You better call your OB-GYN right now.' You said, 'Keep the knives in the drawer.' "

Lisa doesn't recall these moments but acknowledged that her PPD brought a series of frightening hallucinations, not directed at her children but rather rooted in hopelessness and severe depression.

"I needed to take the knives out of the house," she disclosed. With the help of antidepressants, Lisa experienced significant relief, stating they "changed the game."

Despite the struggles, Lisa and Harry have celebrated 28 years of marriage. Married since 1997, the couple shares two daughters: Delilah, 26, and Amelia, 23.

Reflecting on their lasting bond, Lisa emphasized the significance of mutual respect and genuine affection. "I really like him as a human," she expressed, attributing their enduring relationship to a mix of love and respect while humorously conceding, "I think it is really luck."

Their journey through the reality TV landscape, particularly Lisa's time on "RHOBH" from 2014 to 2022, was another chapter that tested but did not break their bond. Harry humorously remarked that he "gets a new wife every day" due to Lisa's dynamic style and evolving looks.
