Cuban-American actor William Levy, known for his telenovela roles, was arrested in South Florida on charges of disorderly intoxication and trespassing following an incident at a Weston restaurant.

AceShowbiz - On Monday, April 14, William Levy, 44, found himself in legal trouble after being apprehended by the Broward Sheriff's Office. According to jail records, he was taken into custody at the Broward County Main Jail in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., following a disturbance at Baires Grill located on Weston Road.
The actor, known for his work in telenovelas such as "Sortilegio" and "La Tempestad" as well as American movies like "Resident Evil: The Final Chapter" and "Girls Trip," reportedly caused a commotion inside the restaurant shortly after 10 p.m.
Witnesses described Levy as "highly intoxicated" and uncooperative, even after multiple requests to leave the premises from both the restaurant manager and law enforcement officers. As a result, he was charged with disorderly intoxication in a public place and trespassing.
Levy's night took a turn for the worse as he ignored verbal orders from the deputies, resulting in his arrest. He was booked into the Broward County Main Jail with a bond set at $250 for each charge, totaling $500. A court appearance the following Tuesday saw the judge uphold the bond amount and direct Levy to avoid Baires Grill in the future.
This incident comes on the heels of a turbulent year for the actor. Nearly a year ago, his ex-wife, Elizabeth Gutierrez, announcedtheir separation after 20 years together.
"I always bet on my relationship. I loved William, I think it's no secret that he was the love of my life," Gutiérrez shared with HOLA! magazine, revealing the end of their two-decade-long partnership amid rumors and incidents that had brought police to their shared home multiple times.
His family has also garnered media attention when his son, Christopher Levy, was injured in a golf cart accident in October 2020.
Beyond his telenovela fame, he was a contestant on season 14 of "Dancing with the Stars" in 2012, finishing in third place.
