AceShowbiz - Harris Dickinson has reportedly proposed to his longtime girlfriend, pop singer Rose Gray. The engagement news came after his appearance at CinemaCon in Las Vegas where he was officially confirmed to play John Lennon in The Beatles biopic.
Dickinson and Gray, both 28, first met in school and have since weathered the ups and downs of both their personal and professional lives together.
A source close to the couple shared with The Sun, "Harris has been with Rose for years and years. For everyone that knows them it was a matter of when, not if, they would get engaged. He popped the question a while back and they're both over the moon."
Rose has been proudly displaying her new diamond engagement ring in several Instagram snaps.
Harris recently starred in "Babygirl" alongside Nicole Kidman. He will next film the four-part Beatles movie along with Paul Mescal, Barry Keoghan, and Joseph Quinn as Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, and George Harrison, respectively.
Director Sam Mendes explained that the lives and careers of the legendary Fab Four are "too big for one film." This epic project promises to dissect the Beatles' lore and legacy in a deeply nuanced manner.
Meanwhile, Rose Gray released her debut album, "Louder, Please" earlier this year, and has been touring with the Sugababes. Dickinson helped to direct Rose's music videos for her singles "Blue" in 2019 and "Afraid of Nothing" in 2023.
Speaking of their working relationship, Harris told Hunger Magazine, "We're so close that we can just be very direct. I think she was the same with me, where if I had a c**p idea, she'd say, 'No, we're not doing that.' "
While their star-studded careers are on the rise, wedding bells will not be ringing just yet for the couple, as they plan to savor their engagement phase.
A close friend noted, "They aren't planning on rushing down the aisle straight away but it's exciting for them both. They are each other's biggest fans, and it's like they were made for each other."
As the world eagerly awaits the release of the Beatles biopics, fans of Harris and Rose will undoubtedly be cheering them on in both their personal journey and professional ventures. Whether they're creating music, magic, or simply memories, this pair seems bound to keep shining brightly.
