AceShowbiz - The contentious paternity dispute between Elon Musk, the world-renowned billionaire behind Tesla and SpaceX, and his former flame, conservative influencer Ashley St. Clair, continues to heat up.
The 53-year-old tech titan has publicly addressed the fallout, leaving a comment on a post on his social media platform about St. Clair selling her Tesla car. "I don't know if the child is mine or not, but am not against finding out. No court order is needed," he wrote.
Musk further revealed that he has financially contributed to the child's upbringing, stating, "Despite not knowing for sure, I have given Ashley $2.5M and am sending her $500k/year."
St. Clair fired back at Musk's claims, describing his actions as manipulative and punitive. "Elon, we asked you to confirm paternity through a test before our child (who you named) was even born. You refused," she claimed.
She further asserted that Musk had cut the financial support, he claimed he sent to her, to maintain control and accused him of retaliating against her when she sought legal resolution.
"And you weren't sending *me* money, you were sending support for your child that you thought was necessary… until you withdrew most of it to maintain control and punish me for 'disobedience.' But you're really only punishing your son," she continued.
She went on to blast the tech mogul, "It's ironic that your last effort in court was to try to gag me while you use a social media channel you literally own to distribute derogatory messages about me and our child to the entire world. It's all about control with you, and everyone can see it."
Meanwhile, in the viral video Elon Musk commented on, St. Clair explained why she's getting rid of her car, "I'm selling it because I need to make up for the 60 percent cut Elon made to our son's child support."
The alleged child support reduction was first brought up by St. Clair's lawyer more than a week ago. They alleged Musk had "financially retaliated against his own child and reduced his financial support substantially and unilaterally" following her initial court filings.
"He did this after Ashley was forced to bring this matter to court, when he refused to respond to her many private attempts to resolve this matter without publicity," they stated. "Ashley is vigorously opposing this application in order to preserve her right to speak out - all while Mr. Musk fashions himself a First Amendment warrior and freely communicates via his owned social media platform."
The public was divided as the drama unfolded online. Musk's followers have offered mixed reactions, with some praising his financial generosity while others siding with St. Clair's claims of emotional and financial manipulation.
As the legal proceedings continue, the public watches closely, fascinated by the clash between a tech mogul and an influencer played out on the social media stage. The outcome remains uncertain, but one thing is clear - this high-profile paternity dispute is far from reaching its final chapter.
