Following accusations of sexual abuse and harassment, former 'Impractical Jokers' star Joe Gatto has decided to cancel his stand-up comedy tour and seek in-patient treatment.

AceShowbiz - Joe Gatto, known for his role in the popular truTV show "Impractical Jokers," has announced he is voluntarily checking into an in-patient treatment facility following recent allegations of sexual assault and harassment leveled against him.

This decision comes amid two separate accusations: one from a TikToker known as joozyb, who alleged that Gatto assaulted her when she was 19, and another from a former employee who claimed Gatto grabbed her and frequently made inappropriate inquiries into her intimate life.

In his statement, Gatto expressed gratitude for the support he has received, "Having taken some time to reflect, I've decided to voluntarily enter an in-patient program to continue working on myself. I just want to thank my friends, fans, and especially my family for all of their support - never more so than over the last few days."

Gatto also addressed the allegations directly, denying any claims of assault but acknowledging his lapses in judgment. "I have used poor judgment and as a result have violated the trust of the people I love most," he said.

"But anyone who knows me at all knows full well that I wouldn't assault anyone. Working on myself is an ongoing process, and I am now going to take some time away from the public eye to focus my energies where I need to."

The allegations first surfaced when TikToker joozyb posted multiple videos claiming that Gatto invited her to his comedy show and later to his hotel room, where the assault allegedly took place. She shared photos and screenshots to support her claims, showing messages exchanged with Gatto and a bruise she claimed resulted from the encounter.

Shortly after these initial claims, another woman came forward, alleging sexual harassment by Gatto during her time working for him. According to her account, Gatto's inappropriate behavior began when she was 18 and included unwelcome physical contact and personal questions she found very uncomfortable.

As a result of these allegations and his decision to seek treatment, Gatto has canceled all upcoming dates on his "Let's Get Into It" comedy tour, which included performances in several major cities like Phoenix, Las Vegas, and St. Louis.

His departure from public life marks a significant pause in his career since leaving "Impractical Jokers" in 2021 to address personal issues amid marital strains. He later ended up reconciling with his wife, however according to the TikToker, the comedian committed the alleged assault shortly after he got back together with his wife.
