Donald Trump has launched a tirade against a controversial presidential painting displayed at the Colorado State Capitol, calling it the 'worst' and 'purposefully distorted.'

AceShowbiz - Donald Trump was fuming over a portrait displayed at the Colorado State Capitol, which he described as "purposefully distorted." On his platform, Truth Social, he argued that the portrait pales in comparison to that of former President Barack Obama, which Trump claimed "looks wonderful."

Trump's dissatisfaction stems from how he perceives the artist's representation of him, alleging that the portrait makes him look his absolute "worst."

He ranted, "Nobody likes a bad picture or painting of themselves, but the one in Colorado, in the State Capitol, put up by the Governor, along with all other Presidents, was purposefully distorted to a level that even I, perhaps, have never seen before."

In his post, Trump singled out the artist, noting that she also painted Obama. "The artist also did President Obama, and he looks wonderful, but the one [of] me is truly the worst. She must have lost her talent as she got older," the President lamented.

Trump's frustration has led him to demand the portrait's removal, stating he'd prefer no picture at all rather than the one currently on display. He mentioned that numerous Colorado residents have contacted state authorities to request its removal or replacement.

Spurred by these complaints, Trump addressed Colorado's Governor Jared Polis, whom he accused of being "extremely weak on Crime." Trump argued that the governor should be "ashamed of himself" for allowing the distorted portrait to remain on display.

This incident follows the release of Trump's official presidential portrait, wherein he gives a scowling look reminiscent of his viral mugshot from August 2023. Trump turned himself in after being indicted on conspiracy and racketeering charges related to allegations of trying to overturn the 2020 election.

His mugshot quickly became an internet sensation, even becoming a lucrative merchandise item that raised $7.1 million in funding through sales of T-shirts, beer can covers, and mugs bearing the image and the slogan "Never Surrender."

Trump's most recent presidential portrait marks a stark contrast from the smiling image shot eight years ago. The shift in tone from the cheerful image to a stern, scowling portrayal has become another talking point for Trump and his supporters.

Stephen Miller, a former adviser, praised the mugshot's iconic status, stating it is the "most powerful image" he's seen.

As Trump continues to assert his dissatisfaction with the Colorado portrait, the debate over presidential images and representations remains a contentious issue. Whether or not the portrait will be replaced or removed remains to be seen, but it has certainly sparked a significant conversation about artistic representation and political image.
