In a candid discussion on The Playlist's "The Discourse" podcast, Olsen presented a pitch for an older, more mature Scarlet Witch - a version of the witch fifty years older, complete with a "big, massive white wig" and a "gnarly face of wrinkles."

Reflecting on her dream version of Wanda, Olsen elaborated, "You know, when I think about my dream version [of Wanda], it's like 50 years later, and I have white hair - such a big, massive white wig - and gnarly face of wrinkles doing like a Tracy Ullman thing. And I am just like a creature that they find. And that's how I imagine Wanda's next journey."

This imaginative take would transform Wanda into a compelling, creature-like figure waiting to be discovered. Inspired by certain comic storylines where Wanda ages rapidly, Olsen's pitch aims to explore uncharted dimensions of the character.

In "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness", viewers were left to question Wanda's fate. However, Olsen revealed that her character's darker trajectory was part of the storyline from the beginning, and diving into the villainous aspects of Wanda was exhilarating for her.

"It was an interesting turn, but one that I was excited to take and…really kind of relish in it instead of tiptoe into it," Olsen stated, adding, "I thought it was kind of something delicious. I thought it was a fun opportunity."

Olsen has not entirely stepped away from the Marvel fold. She lent her voice to variants of Wanda in the animated series "What If…?" and will be part of the ensemble cast in the highly anticipated "Marvel Zombies", set to premiere on Disney+ on October 3.
