According to documents obtained by The Associated Press, Sia welcomed her third child, a baby named Somersault Wonder Bernad, on March 27, 2024, with her now-estranged husband, Daniel Bernad. This revelation comes nearly a year after the birth took place.

The documents in question are divorce filings, as Sia is currently seeking to end her marriage to Bernad. Citing "irreconcilable differences," Sia is asking the court not to award spousal payments to Bernad while simultaneously seeking sole custody of her 11-month-old child. The singer, however, is open to visitation rights for Daniel.

Sia's motherhood journey has been far from ordinary. This latest child, Somersault, joins Sia's family as her third child, following the singer's adoption of two 18-year-old boys in 2019.

She had been outspoken about her decision to adopt, telling Vogue Australia that she was motivated after seeing one of her sons in a documentary about the foster care system. "I was like: 'What? Like, he doesn't have anybody. Oh my god. I'm going to find him and I'm going to be his mummy,' " she explained. "And so that's what I did."

In an interview with SiriusXM's "The Morning Mash Up" in May 2020, Sia discussed the challenges her adopted sons were facing.

"They are both finding it pretty difficult, one more so than the other," she said. "But they're both doing things that are really good for them right now, that are really helpful. They're really doing a lot of educational stuff that's good for them."

Sia married Daniel Bernad on December 28, 2022, but the couple officially separated on March 18, 2024.

Despite the turmoil in her personal life, Sia's professional life continues to flourish. She recently teamed up with frequent collaborator David Guetta for their newest hit dance single, "Beautiful People," which debuted at No. 8 on the Billboard Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart.
