Maher mocked her ongoing relationship with Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce, using it as a parallel to Donald Trump's quick diplomatic breakups. He juxtaposed Trump's chaotic second run as president, marked by contentious relationships with allies like Ukraine, Mexico, and Canada, with Swift's current romance.
He quipped, "This world is so upside down now. It took Trump three weeks to break up with Ukraine, and Mexico and Canada. And yet, Taylor Swift has the same boyfriend for over a year."
Bill Maher's joke didn't just stop at Swift. He also took the opportunity to comment on other controversial figures like Elon Musk. He joked about the Tesla billionaire's controversial tenure at DOGE while poking fun at the tech mogul's ever-growing brood that has reached 14 kids.
Mentioning that Musk was "sitting next to an attractive blonde" at Congress, Maher deadpanned, "They were just seated together, never met her, there's no connection. And her due date is in December." He added, "No, I think he did try to pick her up because he used his standard pickup line, 'Haven't I fired you somewhere before?' "
