AceShowbiz - Brad Pitt and George Clooney are reportedly eyeing Sandra Bullock to return for the upcoming "Ocean's Fourteen". In 2018, Bullock portrayed Debbie, the sister of heist leader Danny Ocean (Clooney's character) in "Ocean's Eight".

Pitt, who played Rusty Ryan in the original "Ocean's Eleven" (2001) as well as its sequels, is joining Clooney in their efforts to persuade Bullock, who announced a hiatus from acting in 2022. The actors are determined to convince their 60-year-old pal to "come out of retirement and join in the fun."

According to InTouch, the "Two Weeks Notice" actress was offered a lucrative $20 million payday to reprise her character, Debbie Ocean.

Sources close to the franchise's production team revealed that Clooney and Pitt were initially prepared to hand the franchise over to Margot Robbie, Ryan Gosling, and Jay Roach. However, the success of "Barbie," which elevated Robbie and Gosling to A-list status, has led to a renewed interest in the original cast.

The insiders added that Clooney and Pitt are also keen on bringing back other franchise legends, including Julia Roberts, Don Cheadle, and Casey Affleck. The goal is to create an "The Avengers of heist movies," filling in vacancies left by the passing of series veterans Bernie Mac and Carl Reiner and the retirement of Bruce Willis due to his dementia battle.

Despite Bullock's sabbatical from acting, the insiders believe that the mutual admiration between her and Brad Pitt, who have collaborated on two movies in the past decade, will play in their favor. Pitt and Clooney are determined to prove their global star power and are counting on Bullock's presence to bolster the film's appeal.

The new "Ocean's" movie with original leads was confirmed in September 2024. The goal is to have "Ocean's Fourteen" in theaters by Christmas 2026 at the latest.
