In the face of devastating wildfires tearing through Los Angeles, actress Jennifer Garner has stepped up to help cook meals to feed first responders and communities in crisis.

AceShowbiz - The past few weeks have been especially challenging for residents of Los Angeles as a series of wildfires have wreaked havoc on the region. Entire neighborhoods, including celebrity residences, have been engulfed in flames, displacing over 100,000 people and razing thousands of buildings. Among those affected by the fires are Hollywood stars such as Adam Brody, John Goodman, and Anna Faris.

Amid this chaos, Jennifer Garner, known for her roles in "Alias" and "13 Going on 30," has demonstrated her commitment to her community by volunteering.

On Friday, January 10, Garner was photographed working with World Central Kitchen (WCK), a non-profit organization headed by chef José Andrés, which is dedicated to providing food relief in times of crisis. Garner, 52, joined the WCK team to deliver meals to firefighters and families impacted by the blazes.

"Well, first of all zero percent of it is about me because I have my home and I am safe," Garner explained to Katie Couric in an Instagram video. "I'm not a spokesperson for people who've gone through this. But it's pretty devastating to witness, obviously. I think everyone is in shock, honestly, Katie. I just think that it hasn't even begun to hit us."

Garner's efforts began after her ex-husband, actor Ben Affleck, evacuated his $20.5 million Pacific Palisades home due to the fires and sought refuge at her Brentwood residence with their children. Though Affleck's home survived the initial onslaught, the area remains under evacuation orders due to ongoing fire threats.

Beyond her recent work with WCK, Garner has a long history of service with various non-profits. For 15 years, she has been an ambassador for Save the Children, participating in disaster relief efforts and other humanitarian issues.

Garner reflected on her past volunteer experiences, saying, "When I've gone to flood sites or hurricane evacuations or just disaster relief, you go scared of what you're going to see and you always come away filled with hope and with faith and humanity, and that's the opportunity here."

Many celebrities, including Vanessa Hudgens and Jamie Lee Curtis, have publicly supported first responders and urged caution among community members. As blustery winds continue to fan the flames across Los Angeles, the need for aid and support remains critical.

Also in a commendable act of support, the Kardashian family has funded $2,500 worth of meals for first responders. Carousel Restaurant, a Kardashian favorite, delivered these meals, showcasing smiling firefighters with boxes of food.

Despite not being in the direct path of the flames, Jennifer Garner's actions exemplify the resilience and solidarity that define the best of humanity. Her commitment to feeding those on the front lines offers a ray of hope amid the devastation, reminding us all of the power of coming together in times of crisis.
